Wild Flower Walk to the Old Man of Hoy with Lee Shields on Friday 19 July. Meet at Moaness Pier, Hoy 10:30am. This event ties in with the 10am ferry from Stromness.
We will get a bus to Rackwick and walk to the Old Man of Hoy looking for wild flowers, wild life and enjoying the scenery.
We will return via the Dwarfie Stone to see the sea eagles, then to Hoy Heritage Centre at Hoy Kirk for a cup of tea and to view the Effy Everris Natural History library and look up some of the wild flowers.
For those coming from the mainland, we will leave the Hoy Kirk in time to walk down to Moaness for the 4:30pm ferry back to Stromness.
